First Line Weatherization concentrates on simple low-cost measures performed by staff and trained volunteers. Since 1982, Project Warm has offered this FREE service to low and fixed income households; to repair drafty homes of leaky doors, broken windows and high utility costs. Although measures are relatively temporary, we perform return visits to maintain this work. The First Line Weatherization program is funded primary by a grant from E.ON U.S.
Weatherization services may include: weather-stripping doors, caulking around windows, baseboards, doorways and cracks that allow outside air into the home. Other small home repairs such as: adjusting doors, replacing broken window glass and fixing windows that do not open and offering basic energy education.

Since 1991, Project Warm Blitz Teams have helped seniors and disabled people prepare their homes for the winter season. Teams of volunteers from businesses, schools, religious and community organizations work together for three weekends each November, installing clear interior window covers over leaky or worn-out windows to make homes more comfortable and to help reduce the burden of rising utility costs for seniors and persons with disabilities. Help us to prepare these households for the winter season. No experience necessary, orientation and training is available for team leaders.
8th Annual Project Warm Blitz -- Nov. 1, 8 and 15, 2008 Volunteer during all or any of our Blitz days to help us winterize the homes of low-income seniors & disabled persons this Fall. With Natural Gas prices at historic highs, this volunteer-driven event provides a valuable service to the community by making homes more comfortable, reducing home heating costs and getting to know more of our neighbors!
